چکیده
A 50-year old woman was admitted to emergency room due to an episode of recurrent renal colic. Double-J ureteral stent has been placed several weeks earlier due to mild hydronephrosis of the left kidney. She had a history of urinary tract infections and poorly defined abdominal pain. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) scan revealed normal left kidney and normal left urinary tract without calculi, presence of double-J ureteral stent and absent right kidney (Figure 1 Coronal multiplanar reformatted image). Excretory phase of CT scan showed retrograde opacification of distal, blind-ending, nondilatated, nonobstructed right ureteral stump. Visualized structures suggested remnant of the incompletely developed right ureteral bud, with normal position of the right ureteral orifice (Figure 2A, Coronal curved-planar reformatted and

Renal Agenesis with Full Length Ipsilateral Refluxing Ureter.
Unilateral renal agenesis with vesicoureteral reflux in the ipsilateral full length ureter is a rare phenomenon. Herein we report a case of 10-year old boy who presented with recurrent urinary tract infections. No renal tissue was identified on left side in various imaging studies. Micturating cystourethrogram (MCUG) showed left sided refluxing and blind ending ureter. Left ureterectomy was don...
متن کاملHernia of the bladder through the broad ligament with renal agenesis and ipsilateral ureter blind ending
Hernia through a defect of the broad ligament is extremely rare in children. These defects can result from a developmental defect or a spontaneous rupture of cystic formations remnants of mesonephric ducts or Müller. Genital anomalies associated with unilateral renal agenesis are more common in females. We report the case of a 13 months girl allowed for assessment of recurrent urinary tract inf...
متن کاملUS and MDCT findings in a caudal blind ending bifid ureter with calculi
Herein we present a rare ureteric duplication anomaly; blind ending bifid ureter with calculi which is asymptomatic unless complicated by infection, reflux, calculi or malignancy. The diagnosis is often missed at intravenous urography (IVU) and US because the ipsilateral ureter and kidney are grossly normal. In this case the diagnosis was established with ultrasound (US) and mainly with multide...
متن کاملIncidental detection of a unilateral dilated blind-ending ureter, renal agenesis, and a dilated seminal vesicle.
vealed an absent right kidney, dilated right ureter and seminal vesicle, and a normal left renal tract (Figure 1). T1 and T2-weighted MRI with gadolinium again demonstrated right renal agenesis, a dilated, non-obstructed right ureter containing proteinaceous material with no vesical connection, and a dilated right seminal vesicle (Figures 2 and 3). Cystic dilatation of the right seminal vesicle...
